I love when cats do this with their babies.
When my rattie, Jack, had her tiny little babies, I used to them out to check on their milk bands and growth (thankfully since I had raised her since she was a little rat herself, she completely trusted me to touch the babies which is one of the biggest compliments a rat mama can give to someone) and i put them one by one in my hand and she would come to me, grab her baby just like that, and put it back in the nest. She did it for all the babies and she knew when I didn’t have anymore and would cuddle. It was adorable. I miss having rat babies <3
